Hypocalcaemia

Blood calcium level always plays an important role in animal health. Drop in normal blood calcium levels below 8 mg/dl leads to Hypocalcaemia. Drop in blood calcium levels may lead to Metritis, Dystocia , Mastitis, Ketosis, RFM, etc. Severe calcium depletion is seen at the time to calving, unless well supplemented, will lead to Milk fever.

Normal blood calcium level after parturition ensures more milk productions and better uterine health.
